Make your beauty blenders like new for less than $1!

Make your beauty blenders like new for less than $1!

One of my least favorite things to do is to clean my sponges. Mostly because it takes multiple washes for them to be totally clean.
I have tried sooo many different cleansers, from the pricey beauty blender cleanser bar to your DIY coconut oil and hand soap, and nothing was working in just one wash, until I found Dawn Platinum dish soap, MY SAVING GRACE!

I noticed when washing my dishes that it got things clean soooo easily, even the burn spots on my cookie sheets looked new again. I thought, hmm , why not just try it.

I put three drops in a cup or bowl and than fill it with warm water and than I let my sponges soak for 15 minutes.
Once they’ve soaked, I take them out and rinse under warm water and all the makeup just pours out like MAGIC!

They promise soft , bouncy, lightweight hair and Girl, let me tell you! They weren’t kidding!  My two main concerns going into a bar shampoo was that it wouldn’t lather up and also that I’d be left with a film on top of my hair, yuck!

I am happy to report that it lathered up SO WELL, which for me is imperative to feel like my hair is actually being cleaned. There also is no left over film. Just soft hair that feels brand new. This smells just like the Honey I Washed the Kids soap , which is my personal favorite!

Lush recommends two ways that you can use the shampoo bar,  to lather up between your hands and than add to hair, or rub bar directly in hair. I feel it is easier to evenly spread the product to just rub it all over your scalp and than distribute through out.

Lush Cosmetics says it can last up to 80 washes (equal to 2 bottles of shampoo).
I haven’t had it long enough to test that claim.  I will update once I’ve used it up!

I will definitely be repurchasing!
